December 20, 2013

HELMET mainman Page Hamilton will host "Helmet Band Camp" August 25-29, 2014 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York.

Insuring the highest quality production and presentation, the directors of Full Moon Resort are highly-regarded music industry professionals with years of experience in studio management, event presentation and facility operations. Whether for a "seminar, workshop or retreat, each event at Full Moon is managed with exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer service.

Each music event is designed to integrate the vision of the host artist or group with the comprehensive services that Full Moon has to offer. Along with the music, event packages include superb catering, comfortable country inn accommodations, camping and access to Full Moon's one hundred acres of picturesque grounds. Such events offer artists and attendees alike the unique opportunity to spend quality time together at this lovely farm-like, mountain resort — sharing in the music, whether the setting is a workshop or an impromptu jam on the porches or around the campfire.

The crown jewel of music programming at Full Moon Resort is the Music Masters Camps series, featuring highly prominent recording and touring artists from around the world. These highly interactive camps provide the backdrop for truly memorable experiences.

Says Hamilton: "It's been 25 years since I took out an ad in the Village Voice, formed HELMET and wrote my first HELMET song.

"I'm really excited to announce that in August of 2014 we will host the first-ever 'Helmet Band Camp' in Big Indian, New York with Music Masters Camps at Full Moon Resort!

"I've really enjoyed conducting music/guitar master classes around the world from Tokyo to Brisbane, Los Angeles to Anchorage, Cleveland to Canberra, but this camp will provide a unique opportunity for you to play with HELMET and get into how we write and arrange our songs.

"We'll have large seminars as well as small group classes for guitarists, singers, bass players and drummers to explore the HELMET chord vocabulary, learn about how we approach rhythm and grooves and develop musical ideas, i.e. writing and arranging your own music. We'll get into HELMET music theory 101 as I share my approach to playing solos and creating soundscapes for songs as well as the many movies I've played on.

"Thank you for a great 25 years. I hope you can make it!"
